After I've had such bad luck simply getting decent cards for the last 10 games it seems that "luck" finally caught up with me, so I thought I'd share this with you guys, you know ... there is hope

I really laughed my ass off. I'd also love some comments on hand 6. Do you guys think that this is the best way to get the most value out of this? My thoughts were basically that if I'd raise it up on the flop or turn the drawing hands would fold (instead of call the donkbet which essentially is a nice pot builder in such a multiway pot), wouldn't you agree?

PS: managed to win the tourney as well (my first 5.50$ stakes win, only had 2nds and 3rds so far)

I like hand 6, no problem with it.

I would like to ask about another hand though. In hand 2 you got the results you wanted, but what was your play if he calls or re-raises you?

I think I know the answer, but wanted to pose the question...

Hey Monty,

If he were to call the bet, I would assume him to know pot odds (I always give players credit in the beginning, no reason to risk chips) ... that he is not drawing to a flush or straight (which I did not give him odds to with this bet size) but instead hit the board. So if no improvement were to come on the turn (K or an A) I would check/fold. I almost never double barrel in SnGs, waste of chips when you're first to act. AKs is a very good hand pre-flop, but unimproved I have no problems laying it down.
I would fold to a flop raise as well.

It's one of those "golden rules" of poker ... never get married to a hand.
