book etc. recommendations?

    Default book etc. recommendations?

    Hi, I'm flirting with the idea of getting a SNG book or some kind of tutorial, specific to online SNGs.

    I subscribe to Marty Smith's poker report and he links to something by Johnny Rothman that looks good but it's very 'marketed' if you know what i mean.

    The books that I would get that are useful to SNG play are:

    - Harrington vol 1 and 2 - although this isn't necessarily SNG specific, the concepts on tourney play are essential. The chapter in the second book on "Inflection Points" is probably the single best poker-related thing I've read anywhere
    - Collin Moshman's "Sit and Go Strategy" is also definitely worth a read
    - "Kill Everyone" by Blair Rodman and Lee Nelson is very good too, particularly for its explanation of bubble factors.

    Other than that, there's the usual general poker books like Theory of Poker. Hope that helps!

    marty smith is good but not optimal.. so don't spend too much time on it..

    +1 to Tai except Moshman's book..

    is that: Harrington on cash games Vol 1 & 2?

    the title and sub title suggest it's just NL hold em cash games, these the right books?

    also, johnny rothman, anyone? is he good?
