Having trouble playing overpairs...

I'm looking for general advise on playing overpairs on the different textures of flops. (They are played much simpler in SNGs it seems.) Can anyone point me towards any good articles? Or can anyone spew a little knowledge my way?

well its so hard to give general advise due to all the different factors that affect how a hand is played i.e. oppenent, board texture, stack sizes etc. But as a general rule of thumb, dont stack off for 100bbs plus vs nits and uber passives who are showing alot of aggresion, specifically on dry boards. Even against good regular players stacking off on dry boards with an overpair is often bad. On drawy boards stacking off with an overpair is in general ok as alot of people play draws strongly.

In regards to betting overpairs on drawy boards just bet pot pot pot! On dry boards e.g. k 4 8 rainbow betting 2/3-3/4s pot is often sufficent, even checking back turns is ok on dry textures as good players and nits will often only give u action on these textures with better hands, thus u get the old turn check raise which is never good, im not saying to not bet the turn specially if u have an agro image but pot control is always good. Then if ur checked to again on the river you can v bet accordingly, or just call there river bet. Against passives and donkeys in general just bet bet bet and take them to value town, though if you get raised by a passive player watch out, ur likely beat. Dont play your overpairs like the nuts basically, realise you only have 1 pair most of the time.
