    Default 100NL: AK vs station

Villain is like 33/3 over 60.

    Button ($52.50)
    SB ($99)
    BB ($20)
    UTG ($128.25)
    MP1 ($111.45)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K, A
    1 fold, MP1 calls $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $5, 3 folds, MP1 calls $4

    Flop: ($11.50) 6, J, K (2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets $8, MP1 calls $8

    River: ($63.50) 2 (2 players)

I figure he's got a wide enough range that I beat on the river that he's calling with. Any K, some jacks maybe

More on the flop and turn to make it a smaller river shove but the idea is good

Let's talk about vbet sizing vs stations. pot or more vs a station you're fairly sure to be beating a lot of the time?

I disagree and think the line and sizing is fine. The river shove is not that much more than psb and looks more like a bluff than a great hand.

Yes, but bigger flop + turn bets get called by hands that miss on the river.

flop bet is fine, id bet more on the turn and shoving the river is good.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

Right, I think his range calls any size bet on the flop/turn and is more likely to stack off with his range on the river to a smaller bet.
