villan was like 16 PFR and 29VPIP......

he bet the flop really fast, like POW, dont think thats relevant tho

i guess he has some kinda PP putting me on overs and hes being weird (this is a 10$ buyin afterall) or he has AJ and hes letting me know that he just wants to take down the pot? i was raising to find out where i was at and looks like I got my answer... but just wanted to post this if anyone might have any other thoughts

i would just fold to the flop donk, you can't win them all. Him leading out with TP on this board is totally reasonable and if he has a FD he may still be a favorite.

you can't fold now, you have well over 1/2 your stack in, he'll have a draw sometimes. if you think he's FOS on the flop just shove.

so raising for information and then folding is really that bad of a play?

u guys are so all about "tits or gtfo" lol, if u catch my drift.
every day i get myself in a hand where i think "well, those guys on FTR say "allin>fold>raise-fold" and then i end up getting into a big confrontation with myself

Yes. You should manage your commitment, particularly in a tourney where saving chips is more important than small edges.

    Well said sir.

9999999, you don't have the ability to raise for info and fold with the size of your stack compared to the total pot. You are committed so if you are going to invest then just stick it in. If not, fold to the donk bet.
