If opp has been aggressive postflop, I'd check with the intention of check-raising, although with that many outs leading can't be bad at all.

As played, if opp is bad, on the turn I check and call with odds rather than firing again.

    Is a shove terrible?

I would lead/call shove (or just shove). Even if you can't get top pair to fold, you still have 35-38% equity. With a board this drawy against a bad opponent, you could be up against a big range of hands, many of which fold to 2nd barrels. I really hate check/calling because we are still in good shape and even against a bad player you still have a lot of fold equity

Check with the intention of calling a small or even medium sized bet. If he's bad he is likely to bet small enough and/or pay us off when we hit often enough to see a river even out of position.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I think it would be a disaster to go check/check on the turn and then you blank the river. If you check the turn its almost a dead giveaway that you dont have Jx or an overpair, so you'll get no respect on the river...forcing you to check/fold

personally i bet/call, i think you have quite a bit of fe against his stack, and if you get it all in you have tons of outs he could also be chasing a flush/straight and be drawing dead.

sorry, didnt see the spade draw,he might be on the spade draw himself
check/check on the turn might lead us to a showdown which is 50/50,but i would think check raising here would be a good option.[/quote]
