And here's another one after i played the last one

Default And here's another one after i played the last one

So, my win rate is about 35%/40%

The last scenario was typical of about half the reasons i lose, this scenario is common for the other half of the times i lose.

Get an ok stack, things progress, make one crucial mistake and fuck up my M zone, i'm into push fold territory and i get called.

    1. Q9o - fine, I like leading with top pair in this spot. If you're raised, let it go, if you're called, check the turn to keep the pot small since the flop is very drawy.

    2. ATo - fine, I complete the SB too rather than raising and fold to the raise. BTW on this hand, don't look at the board and see that you would have made a straight and curse yourself for folding - once you fold, what comes on the board is irrelevant.

    3. AKo - I raise just a little bit less, 100 is plenty to clear out subsequent callers and try to get HU on the flop whilst not bloating the pot. As played, I definitely c-bet the flop for 150 or so. You bet less on the flop than you raised preflop, why is this? If you are c-betting the flop, bet at least 1/2 pot since you'd really like to take it down without a fight.

    6. Q3s - I usually just ditch this once blinds hit 25/50, but calling isn't a huge leak PROVIDED that you don't go broke on a Q high flop.

    7. KJs - ok, this needs some comment. Firstly, I would not have raised preflop, I would have just checked the BB. If you're called, you're playing this hand OOP postflop. As played, I DEFINITELY check the flop rather than betting - you have a gutshot straight draw but that is a very dangerous flop for you with the A and spade draw on the flop (which also means that not all your outs are good. On the turn, despite getting 7:1 I fold, for two reasons: a) you only have 6-8 outs which means you're odds are marginal to chase your straight and b) you may already be dead if opp has a full house.

    8. 98o - completing is OK here provided you don't have a read that opp is aggressive and raises. Personally, if I completed here, I would bet the flop for 80 or so to try to steal.

    8 A BU (M = 7.40; f+f+F) (between 8 and 9) - I would raise this 2.5x BB

    9. J2o - shove is fine

    10. KJo - shove is no good. In fact, it wouldn't even be a good shove if it was folded to you. Patience is a real virtue in poker - with just under 10x BB you are short but not yet totally desperate so you can afford to eat the blinds again. I would rather shove 32 offsuit if it was folded to me in the SB than shove over with KJo in this spot.

    thanks for all this.

Wow, i'm still not 100% sure of things. I would have thought a shove with KJ would be good if my chips are down. But also, A8 is not supposed to be a playable hand?

I guess what i'm learning, i think, is that position is still vital when shoving, even if it's a pretty shovable hand.

Thing is, i do wonder when my spots will be, sometimes like 20 hands will go by with nothing but 10 4, 8 3, Q 2 etc.

Neet to work on my push fold stuff.

Also, my bubble game is terrible. I always piss chips when i'm in the bubble fighting for 4th place. Everyone's stealing, i'm missing flops, i'm getting re-raised when i show aggression, big stack happily calls nearly dead stack with nothing and ends up donating chips that take nearly dead stack up to my level or higher.

    Any good videos on this?

    cheers again!

for the most part I end up typing exactly what taipan posts, but I said I'd give some feedback so here ya go

Hand 2 - Very nice, a lot of players will call here and get themselves in some trouble. AT is a good hand but often in raised pots your up against a better ace so its difficult to really have any confidence in your hand postflop

Hand 3 - At the $1 level this is probably an ok flop check...but in general this is a great flop to cbet for 2/3'rds pot. After you check the flop I'd check the turn also and get to showdown cheaply

Hand 7 - Definetly don't raise preflop. I've skimmed through your other HH and it seems like you overvalue broadway hands like QJ/KJ. The main reason you should check is because you'll be out of position and a UTG limp range could already be ahead of KJs. Your flop cbet should be at least 200 and to be honest I would just check/fold that flop. The turn check/call is not good even though its such a small bet. Really the only river you want to see is a non-spade ten...any other card and your still likely beat. As far as preflop goes, I'd often check there with 22-99, AJ and sometimes AQ.

A8s btn - on the button I think it would be fine to raise this

Hand 9 - This is definetly profitable against someone who is calling your shove with a tight range, so this is probably good

Hand 10 - Again, KJ is not a great hand, especially with a UTG limp in front. If it was folded to you its still probably correct to fold.
