Easy call for me at this level. MP2 could have Jx, flush draws, 66-TT, missed overcards and all sorts of other hands you beat. If he shows up with a set or AA/KK then I pay him.

There's an epidemic of people limping KK/AA :/
but anyway I think we can exclude a set of jacks at least because people usually raise jacks from MP

but we can't exclude it entirely because this is a $1 SNG
so his most likely range here is two pair, flush draw, set of threes or set of fives and sometimes a retardedly played AA/KK

his donk lead here is strong because he doesn't expect you to fold for 125 chips so if he had a flush draw and wanted to play it really strong he might actually pot the flop or even donk push the flop which I would insta-call with an overpair

I don't like the flop raise because then we're putting a third of our stack and we can't lay it down. I'm leaning towards a smaller raise so that button doesn't have odds to call. As played we have to call and get owned because that small donk lead is usually a big hand.

This is more what I was leaning towards in my OP. I didnt think it would accomplish much except charge the draws. Flatting here just seemed pretty gay.

Um, what about AJ, KJ, QJ, JT, maybe worse Js, maybe missed overcards, maybe 66-TT could play like this?

Those are part of his less likely range

Usually people donk out a pot sized bet with a pair of jacks and play TT here much more passively
The reason they would bet the size of the pot is because they're afraid of the flush draw and have read somewhere that a flush draw is 2-1 against with two cards to come so they're giving 2-1 pot odds
They're also afraid of an overcard OBV

but people who slowplay AA/KK usually play them like the nuts on the flop

but anyway you have to call after putting that raise in
but I'm thinking if you raise only to 300 you can still get away if you get 3-bet all in

of course in SNGs saving yourself from losing all your money is a good thing
with this line you're probably around 45% of the time ahead if you weigh the stronger holdings as more likely than the weaker holdings
in terms of pot odds it's a call but you're beat here a lot

I would call, you are way ahead of his range
