    Default Two monsters slowplayed

I normally play big hands fast, but I figured in these two I had the deck crushed and needed to let people improve/bluff. Thoughts?

    Hand 1

BB special. No particular reads on opps other than the fact they all limped.

    $0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG LuckAddicted ($55.90)
    CO DrinkWithMe ($49.25)
    BTN lorenzo2108 ($17.25)
    SB JonnyOneOut ($72.40)
    BB Hero ($51.95)

    Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is BB
LuckAddicted calls $0.50, 1 fold, lorenzo2108 calls $0.50, JonnyOneOut calls $0.25, Hero checks

    Flop: ($2, 4 players)
JonnyOneOut checks, Hero checks, LuckAddicted checks, lorenzo2108 checks

    Turn: ($2, 4 players)
JonnyOneOut checks, Hero bets $1, LuckAddicted calls $1, lorenzo2108 calls $1, JonnyOneOut folds

    River: ($5, 3 players)
Hero bets $3.50, LuckAddicted folds, lorenzo2108 raises to $7, Hero raises to $26

I bet turn hoping someone has a draw or just hit their nut flush. Same theory on river. Hope to get a call from...something.

    Hand 2

I really thought I probably had to check to the river here, thoughts?

    UTG Hero ($49.75)
    UTG 1 xxtrinitixxx ($14.75)
    CO illwill1000 ($19.85)
    BTN GianniEmme ($17.00)
    SB JonnyOneOut ($49.70)
    BB sweetgirl18 ($104.40)

    Pre-flop: ($0.75, 6 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $1.75, xxtrinitixxx calls $1.75, 4 folds

    Flop: ($4.25, 2 players)
    Hero checks, xxtrinitixxx checks

    Turn: ($4.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, xxtrinitixxx bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

    River: ($7.25, 2 players)
    Hero bets $7.25

I dunno about turn and river here, I just couldnt come up with any good lines. On river I'm hoping he either hit a draw and will call/raise or thinks I'm bluffing and calls with a pair or something...
Just dipping my toes back in.

1 - bet the pot on the turn, otherwise it's good
2 - I like betting $3 on that specific turn card because everyone loves to call raises with hands with jacks in them

Bet turn on hand 2. Either he has something (pair/draw) that you can get him to call a bet with, or he doesn't (I prefer this to checking & hoping he attempts to bluff).

Hand 1. I like to make a 1.50 'stab' on the flop simply because you get called by flush draws, pairs and sometime just overcards.

Hand 2. Any thoughts on C-bet, check turn lines?

You get the Da GOAT memorial award for misreading your own hand history posts.

I don't like betting the flop in Hand 1 really, it's so much more likely that people will improve on the turn than pay you off on the flop. A small pair might hit a 2-outer, overcards might hit, etc.

For those who like results, hand 1 he had QT of spades for a big flush, got his stack. Hand 2 he had TQ semi-bluffing his gutshot on the turn and hitting his straight on the river so he put the rest of his stack in over my bet.

Pity they were both so short :P.

Isn't QT a double belly buster in hand 2? :P
