Default Two $22 tournies for review - 1 one table and 1 two table

It seems like it has been FOREVER since I played a SNG, but had the itch last night so I played in a couple to see how bad I could donk it up. It really felt like putting on and old comfy pair of jeans.

Would love to hear thoughts on spots that I may have missed or hands that I may have misplayed.

Tourney 1 - This was a one table tourney that was nitter than hell. I haven't reviewed the HH but would be willing to bet I missed some steal spots later. I ended up busting 8th when my AQo got called by pocket 4's that held up.

Tourney 2 - This one wasn't as nitty and I felt like I played ok. Got some cards late and when it got heads up I felt pretty good as my opponent was a very vanilla player who was pretty easy to read. Again, any and all thoughts are appreciated.

I'll take a look at these in a sec. I've cut down on my sng play and the few 22s that I've played have also been nitfests. They're starting to feel like how the 33s were about 3 months ago...

    1-table

Hand 4 - well played. normally its a fold preflop but this guy limped with 92s earlier so you have to think your way ahead of his range. Flop check is good because how coordinated it is. Good idea to keep the pot small and give yourself to hit the gutshot or ace

Hand 6 - I think flop is fine since your getting around 4/1. I cant blame you for check/calling all the way because a lot of people who do this are donks with Ax. You could probably argue for folding the turn but meh

    Hand 8 - Ugh what a horrible shove by 44, o well

    2-table

Hand 3 - I think I'd lead the flop since its heads up. If you get flatted I would then hope to get to showdown cheap.

Hand 4 - imo you need to 3bet more or just shove. I like making it 550 so you can shove your 800 behind on any flop. Although its not a great cbet board, you 3bet which means you could easily have AK. I wouldnt be surprised if AJ folded to your flop shove

    Hand 5 - nh

Hand 7 - donk bet the flop

Hand 14 - really dont like this. ATs should be in terrible shape if you think about what range most people are raising over a UTG limp. Plus you have 0 fold equity

Hand 16 - with the limp in front you might as well shove pre with 15bbs. I can also see folding if villian has been tight

    Hand 17 - I would check unless I'd seen villian limp/fold before.

Hand 18 - This is a pretty good flop to just throw out 200 and get a fold. You don't want people think that a) you will let them complete and b) they can see the turn and river for free. I'll often raise preflop if I know the villian is completing a huge range (and isn't a horrible spewy player)

Hand 22 - Don't like preflop, I would really only consider this if you were both very deep (like 35+BBs each). Thats also a pretty bad flop to bluff at because any pp isnt going away, plus a lot of people wont fold AJ-AK there

Hand 23 - Fold pre. Its ITM now so SB will probably be itching to get all in. Plus if the shorty folds your begging the BB to call the minraise. I think its too much potential trouble to steal 700 chips

You'll have to convince me about minraising...I don't think I've seen you do it before

Hand 25 - Against this player (who will call raises wide), the turn is fine because theres a pretty wide range of hands that he'll call with (and your still ahead of)

    Hand 26 - woot

Hand 29 - raise the turn to get him to pay for draws and build a pot if he has something decent

    Hand 42 - I don't mind this...from the way he's been playing you would expect limp/fold

Hand 47 - I like mixing it up like that, but the turn brings a lot of draw opportunities so you should lead

fj, Thanks for the input. Some of your comments were definitely read based but you made some great comments on a few of the hands (esp. hands 7, 14, 18, 23, and 29).

Also, as for the minraise you are correct in that I never do that, however on this particular table it had been very effective for others so I figured if it was working for them......

    Thanks again for the input.
