Default $5 - Getting away from this?

Villian was 48/19 over 21 hands. With the small reraise preflop and the tiny bet on the flop I just felt I was up against a big hand, but I still couldn't get away from my hand. Should I have bet the flop? Bet or Raise the turn? I am really having a hard time with AK lately.

I play it the same as you from start to finish. Nh.

Were you UTG or in the BB? If you were UTG, I play it exactly the same too. If you were BB and Button had limped first, I would raise a bit more pre-flop. If he then re-raises, I would be suspicious of a big hand. I've noticed a lot of low stakes players play AA like this.

I am not sure why the converter is saying I was in the BB. I was actually UTG.

At a higher blind level I would definitely shove preflop but this is level 1 man, do you really want to (potentially) flip or get dominated without odds?

I would raise turn and pick up the pot, I dont like letting the FD get his draw for free

Of course not but it always depends on the player for me.. I'm expecting lots of overvalued weaker Aces from such a weak player which makes it much better for us...Plus we'll still have some chips if we flip and lose.. I think it's better than missing the flop and getting bluffed out by an A8o..

But I also agree with you, so it doesn't matter both ways IMO..
