Default A5o resteal against LAGG button raise ($27)

Opp's stats were something close to 40/30 here. How is this resteal?

Doesn't seem too bad, but it's probably pretty close. I would probably wait until its down to 3 or 4 handed to start restealing with this hand.

Or if he plays a lot of "fit or fold" after the flop, I might stop n go here rather than shove.

You're behind top 30% and the hands he folds are the ones you want to be in against, he won't fold better As or pairs. I don't think it's horrible but it can't be that great. I'd like it better if he hadn't raised 4x. I'm feeling math lazy, you can count the hands if you want, but we end up 70/30 dog if he calls with the pairs and Axs in the top 30%, so we need to get folds a decent amount. 22 does 10% better against the same range.

If he's been stealing a lot then I love this play. But like drmc said, it would have been better as a 3x. Does villain normally raise 3x or 4x? I guess if he had been poping lower then this, I might lay it down.

I think there are better spots to do this but you have a read and plenty of folding equity, not the worse thing thats been done.

I tried to run it with math in various situations and it all comes down to "he should fold a lot of hands against your push".. a raise to 800 also damages your FE..I think I fold..

Something about 4x really irks me.. I'd rather let him take it and find a better spot. Perhaps on the bubble or something after he's been stealing relentlessly.. and a shove over a 3x raise to give yourself a bit more FE.

I like the play. If he has been in as many hands as this, its unlikely he will want to get in the hand with a similar sized stack unless he has a big pair. If he does, just hope for the best.

It makes a nice statement if he folds and will likely not try and steal from you for a while. If he calls and you hit, you have a nice stack to work with.

I think you made a good play.

I would do this with Axs or pps and and some scs. His 4x raise makes this difficult. I would fold.
