    Instacall. If your hand holds, you've won the whole thing! No way do you not have enough equity here to call.
    Actually, correct me if I'm wrong...

    2000 stacks, 50/30/20 std structure:

    fold 2000 32%
    call/win 20000 50%
    call/lose 0 0%

    x=32-0/50-0
    x=64%

    We aren't gonna be more than 35ish% against 9 hands. Hmm. This doesn't take into account 2 or more villains splitting the pot if we fold though.

    If you call and lose you dont have 0, assuming it is not a split pot you get 6.25% of the prize pool as everyone is tied for 2nd and 3rd place

    Hm at what site? At least on party all hands are ranked but yeah I guess the possibility for 3rd should be added to the equation.
    Our brains have just one scale, and we resize our experiences to fit.

    Usually in tournament rules it states that in case 2 players bust in the same hand the one with the higher chip count recieves the higher place, I think thats how PS handle it, and in this case all have equal chip stack

    You are probably just remembering the times when you do lose with them. When you get AA, you initially think you should win the hand, and when you lose, it sticks in your mind more. If you really are losing more money with AA than any other hand, you are doing something seriously wrong.

    Welcome to FTR by the way!
    Heh. I lose more money with them, because I am not likely to lay them down. If someone goes in allin against me and the rockets, I will call. And then...well... it's poker. I have been on both sides of the 7-2 vs. AA when the 7-2 won. I seldom go all-in in NL without a really premium hand (unless desperately short stacked.) Oh yeah--- I kinda suck at NL.

    Any other hand, I can get away from preflop.

    I lose more and win less with AA, because I do push with them. And sometimes the push makes others fold. And there I am with the blinds. But at least I won.

    I tend not to do coin flips early on in NL sngs. But the AA never feels wrong. I just wait to see if it holds up.

    Here is what I have gathered from this thread:

    Basically, don't fold AA preflop ever unless its a satellite paying the top X number of players, and players X and X+1 are AI. Or you are in one of those PS Double or Nothing games.

    Avoid coinflips early when possible, but its okay to be aggressive and try to get yourself in the position where you have a large edge.

    Am I reading all of this correctly?

    I will fold all of the time here. Even if two players chop the pot we are still in 3rd place gtd $$$. AA wont win here even 40% of the time. Where as folding will get you paid almost 100% of the time. Plus then you will get to use your badassnevergonnalosekilleveryoneandstealtheirmoney edge that apparently a ton of players have...
    PS. Where do you get some?
