Default SB limp late into game - do Hero's cards matter?

This is a double or nothing game. Hero has tight image with no history of attacking passivity. Do Hero's cards matter here?

Reads on villian matter. In a DoN I am less willing to risk all my chips on moves like that, especially since you have 3 stacks shorter then yours

What's the SB done so far this tourney? Surely he's done something to get the pile of chips he's got.

I wouldn't shove personally, you should get the same result with a huge raise - fold if he's got marginal hand, allin if he's slowplaying AA, KK, or AK.

All depends on what you've seen him do so far.

A huge raise commits you to the pot. I think here it's AI or fold here and based on what I have read, perhaps a fold is in order.

You are in the BB and can see a flop for free, fold is out of the question

Well spotted ... +1. I think without a solid hand this is probably a call.

Unless you have a big hand, I would just check and see a free flop, as TLR mentioned. You only need two more players to bust to be ITM, and there are three stacks shorter than your own. Although this isn't guaranteed to happen, you have the big stack to your left, so you can probably raise his blind a few times or push into him, if it is folded to you in the SB. He isn't likely to call without a very big hand, as he can just sit pretty with his chips.

As others have mentioned though, reads are important in this situation. Identify which players are the most likely to try and fold their way into the money, and pick on those players more.
