Preflop: I would just fold it. By calling here, you are basically playing for two pair or better or a monster draw on the flop, so I'd want something with more higher potential to call here (say suited connectors, pocket pairs, suited gappers, maybe hands like KQo and JTo).

Flop: As played, bet is fine.

Turn: WHY BET LESS ON THE TURN THAN ON THE FLOP? I am sorry to be harsh, but minbetting 50 into a 400 pot is totally retarded and achieves NOTHING. After opp calls my flop bet I would check and see what he/she does.

River: This is an easy check (and call a small bet, fold to a big one). Once opp shoves over, easy fold - you're almost certainly beat

I'd have to agree with Tai here, fold this crap pre-flop. You are only getting yourself into a heap of trouble by calling here. Most times you will have to fold after the flop and sometimes it's going to cost you a heap of chips when you hit and can't get away. This is perhaps a leak in your game.

Suitable hands to play limp from the SB incl cards like suited connectors or high cards with potential e.g. KQ, KJ etc. Sometimes I will even avoid these as they require a keen awareness of flop texture and sometimes you should fold them even when you hit the flop.

Our opponent could be calling the flop with a two high cards hoping to spike one on the turn, or mid-pockets etc., etc. As played my preference is to put in a 1/2 pot on turn. This is to better define where we stand in the hand and gives us the best chance to take down the pot. If opp calls we need to shut down and fold to any significant opposition on turn/river.

Unless BB is very aggro I call this preflop, you are getting 1:8 on your money, however you have to play it very carefully postflop.
Flop - I usually check in this siutation OOP 4 way in unraised pot, however I dont think betting is too bad.
Once you get called you have to figure opp has something, check-call reasonable bet on turn

Easy hand, fold pre every time.

The 7:1 Pot odds don't compensate for poor position + the fact that you will need to flop 2 pair to continue with the hand.

You also lose lots of monies for no reason when someone flops a better jack.

As played nice flop bet, check turn. If he bets 1/2 pot or less I call and c/c river as well.

Nothing wrong with the play, bet more on turn.. him having a 4 is just bad luck. Folding preflop avoids this mess.. but a lot of the time you pick up the pot right away. Maybe bet the flop harder and he doesn't stick around with a 4?
