Default 3.40 hand...pot odds or easy fold

i looked on pokerstove for my equity with the ranges i felt comfortable with for each player, and it said i had 20.85%equity, and i am getting more than 4:1 on my money so is it an ok call? or does the equity only apply to me pushing?

Dude, with those blinds absolutely shove or fold preflop, there is no other move. I haven't run it in SNG Wiz but I suspect this one is a fold.

As played, you're in a really bad spot. On the one hand (with the ranges you used which you didn't post), you're only just getting the chip equity you need for the pot odds you're getting, but you haven't taken the ICM effect into account. Plus there's the risk that your ranges are wrong and your KT doesn't have as much equity as you think. However, if you fold here, you lose half of your stack in the BB next hand and pretty much have to call any shove.

Personally I wouldn't ever be in this position of having put in 60% of my stack preflop then wondering what to do when you get shoved over.

i appreciate the response, and next time will try not to put myself in that position, i guess i was just blind stealing and got caught, and was wondering if i was basically pot committed.

    what about this hand?

The Q7o hand I wouldn't shove because a) it's the bubble and b) the button is the big stack so he can call your shove and only lose 1/3 of his stack.

Hand #1 is a fold preflop... as played call and be prepared to lose

Hand #2 I wouldn't shove this just yet. Blinds are still workable and you have the bigstack on the button.

Also I don't understand how there's a UTG, button, SB and BB in hand #2 but it says '2 folds' preflop...

This would mean that there we five players at the table no?

Hand 1 is strictly push or fold. In this case I think I fold pre-flop. As played I would call.

Hand 2. You aren't short enough yet to warrant this play. I would fold and look for a better spot.
  9. #9
    Hand 1: I would just fold pre-flop.

Hand 2: I would check here and see a free flop.

Hand 1 is a jam PF

No, almost certainly not since it's the bubble of an 18 man and there is a microstack who will eat the blinds in two hands' time.

thought this was 2tables left of a 45man, then I read thread and realized there's 11 left which means it's nowhere near the bubble.

I think OP was referring to the Q7 hand when he said that. Not sure how many are left on the KTo hand, maybe OP can clarify.
  15. #15
yea, I ran my numbers and it seems like KTo is at the bottom of our shoving range, so I guess a lot of it is opponent driven but I typically like jamming here as long as we are not on the bubble.

Fold hand 1 preflop- as played, you need to call, hand 2 is standard.
