    Default Bubble ranges

The blinds are such that all but the big stack are in trouble. The shorty (who has had the smallest stack for some time) is consistently shoving the button. What range do we need to call here.

Without checking SNG Wiz (which I'll do later because I can't open it whilst Stars is open) I'd say you need to call pretty tight here. I'll run with 99+, AQ+ if he's shoving very wide (although I'm not sure about the unpaired hands).

Hope I don't end up with egg on my face when I do run Wiz!

Tai, this is tighter than I'd have expected so I'd be interested to see what Wiz says.

I'd agree with this range. You say the shorty had been consistently shoving the Button, so a shove from UTG would probably need this tight a calling range. If he's also shoved from UTG a few times, I'd probably widen my range to 88+, AJ+. I sometimes think my ranges are slightly too tight though.

the problem is that losing here would put u at just over 1 bb. This is where I want to slap the bigstack for not pressuring this guy all day long! In his situation or even the other guy you have more room to work cause losing a pot, you still have some chips to work with.
    I'd agree with rage's, maybe even 77.

OK, I approached this in SNG Wiz in two steps:

    1. Figure out what opp SHOULD be pushing (say if we were in his/her shoes)
    2. Assume that he/she is pushing correctly, what can we profitably call with?

For 1. if we assume that Button and Hero call with 99+, AQ+ and the big stack BB calls with 55+, ATo+, A8s+ then Villain should be pushing 16% of hands (55+, A9o+, A2s+, KJo+, KTs+, QJs and JTs).

Therefore, in 2., assuming the big stack calls two shoves with TT+, AK and AQs, we can only call the shove with 88+, AQ+.

Of course, if Villain is shoving far wider than is +EV then we can widen our calling range, however consistently shoving the button is quite a different story to shoving from UTG.
