Your points are valid...I wasn't thinking of the position of the raiser and caller at the time.
I prefer to reraise AA on the button though, and when the callers check to me, I like to make continuation-type bets on the flop....if it's a low board, you'll get popped by small pocket pairs and if it's K xx, you get raised by KQ.
anyway, here's a big pocket pair at that same table I played completely differently...of course the flop is different...I think I could have played this better, too.

I figured this guy would put the rest in with whatever hand or draw he had, but maybe he something like 88 or nothing at all. Is flat-calling his reraise on the flop ever an option here?
