AK call raise or re-raise?

Default AK call raise or re-raise?

Blinds are 30 or 50 you get AK late position, do you call a raise or re-raise? Seems like whenever I do, I don't hit anything on the flop, I c-bet and half the time they fold/half the time they raise me and I've invested too much and I'm left with half a stack early in the tourney.

    Hero's M: 50.00

    Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K, A
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls t20, MP1 raises to t80, 1 fold, Hero raises to t160, 5 folds, MP1 calls t80

    Flop: (t370) 2, 7, 10 (2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets t300, MP1 raises to t600

I considered shoving here as he might have Ax of diamonds on a semi bluff?

Im probably not helping much but all I can tell you is raise more preflop. I would go like 300. Ill leave postflop up to someone with more skill.

im playing similar level tourny's, i agree bet more preflop. hard to know what hes on. low level... some of these clowns will play anything.

Raise more preflop and bet a bit less (relative to pot size) on the flop

Either raise more preflop or flat call, I don't mind either but probably lean towads flat calling and waiting for an A/K/monster draw to get my chips in.

As played, I agree with TLR, your bet is a little too big, something like 225-250 should be plenty to do the job.

I tend to flat call in these situations. You lose control of the pot by doing this but you also control the pot size. I prefer this approach since I don't want to stick a c-bet in and lose half my stack this early.
