    Default Post-flop Spot $4.40 180-man

Relevant info: BTN,SB,BB are all fairly tight, villain (SB) is the loosest of the group, running 20/6 over 3-4 orbits. I doubled up 15-20 hands ago by open-shoving QQ for 12BBs UTG+1 and getting snapped by AJo. If anyone is running a HUD I look tighter than Phil Hellmuth on the bubble.

There are like 45-50 people left, I'm well below the average.

    Blinds 100/200 Ante: 25

    Hero: 3400
    BTN: 6500
    SB: 9000
    BB: 7000

    Dealt to Hero: A 8
3 folds, Hero raises to t450, BTN folds, SB calls t350, BB folds

    Flop (t1275) A T 4
    SB bets t400, Hero?

I guess I can see arguments for all three actions but I'm just never folding here, so

    a. raise to 1200+call shove
    b. shove
    c. call (include your turn action on a blank, a diamond, and a ten facing another bet)

    a

question, if sb or bb reraised or shoved pre, what would you do?

I fold due to the fact that people just don't shove lightly at this level and my hand stacks up pretty poorly against a range of:

    66+,AJs+,AQo+

Can you explain why you chose A please

Sure, I figure to be ahead and I would like to charge him to see the turn. Weak leads are normally weak hands like draws. Some will argue that a call is profitable here, but I don't like that since we have a shortish stack. But, if I did call, I would probably be going with this hand.

I asked the question because I normally don't raise a hand when <10M if I am not willing to get my chips in.

I don't really see the point in raising since we are short stacked enough that we don't need to juice the pot.

I just call and I'm going with the hand no matter what comes.

Yah I pretty much go into "call anything" mode here. The 2x donk bet that he is throwing out is usually pretty weak, either a weak ace that may not even have you beat, a KT/QT/JT type of hand, or a flush draw. I think the only way I get away on the turn is if the diamond comes in and he bets the turn hard or the river pot sized. Otherwise, I think I'm calling him down trying to get some showdown value vs his A3.
    On moving up, properly rolled:

I think i would shove. On this tournie (my favourite) a weak bet usually means a weak hand that doesnt know what to do. I agree that you cant get away from this hand. A call here is effectively giving a free card to a weak hand. Not sure I would want that risk , your hand just isnt strong enough for a slow play,
Shove if he calls you and wins you were going to loose anyway but a lot of hands that win by the end will fold here.
