:-/.....i have a lot of BB's left and my M is pretty good right now, however i am well behind the chip average of 4500 here...ewg has been pretty aggressive but i have never seen him open shove before so what should i do?....this is what i gave him as a range on pokerstove : 88+,AJs+,KQs,AJo+...maybe thats a little loose but idk, its hard to tell at this level...but pokerstove says i have 54% equity, so does that mean a call here was good?

Most people don't open shove 25bbs. Don't show the results because it will skew people's suggestions. Don't let the results make you think that you either played the hand good or bad. Results don't matter.

I don't pay much attention to the chip average in tournaments, just my stack in relation to the blinds and other stacks on the table. Right now you have 24bbs, which is not a horrible stack size to be at... but you should be looking for good spots to pick up chips, this seems like a good one.
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

u are ahead of maniacs donk shoving range. i'd call here 100% of the time.
guys he's just looking to complain about taking coolers/beats

he'll continue to be the type of poker player we all love, the one that isn't any good but thinks he is, and slowly donates to the regulars.

It's a good call. I can't wait to click the call button. Your range on him is way too tight, btw. I've seen people shove a lot of garbage hands here. In fact, I'd just about eliminate AA/KK/QQ from his range.

Just because he hasn't open-shoved before doesn't mean he has a monster. He could easily have a small pocket pair he doesn't know how to play postflop. He could have Ax or Kx as well.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

Tournie is only 20 hands old, you can't have a read on ewg strong enough to tell you what to do, maybe he is shoving a wide range maybe not. Early in small tournie like this people make this move for two reasons, either hyper aggressive and gambling to get a big stack or 2, they just got dealt aces and cacked their pants not knowing what to do.
I would probably fold, calling with AA,KK,AKs maybe QQ.

P.S. Stack average shoots up super fast in the first hour of the tourney because all sorts of donks go all in on the first hand. So you are bound to be behind the average unless you are running super right off the start. Don't worry about keeping up with it really.
