Default $20 live mtt chop dilemma

This post is about chopping live and will be kind of long due to some abnormal factors.

Hero is in podunk town in middle America to spend Thanksgiving with his gf's family. We go to a shady redneck bar that has a $20 mtt with 36 entrants paying top 3. At the FT a few chops have been discussed but not all players agreed on them. After 5th and 6th bust we are on the bubble and blinds are 4k/8k, no ante. Stack sizes are:

    Hero: 100k
    Decent player: 75k
    Donk 1: 20k
    Donk 2: 20k

Hero has been running over the table a bit and Donk 1 and 2 will fold down to the felt to ensure they do not bubble. Decent player is a bit too tight and has been mostly allowing me to run over the table and only reshoved on me once w/AK. At this point they ask for a chop yet again and since I am chipleader want me to suggest what I think is fair. The total prize pool is $720.

OK, now for the extraneous factors:
If you do not chop or at least suggest a possible chop you are risking more than just money. Hero is NOT white and has encountered non-violent racism on prior visits (I look middle eastern so they all think I am a terrorist obv). This town's bar crowd is basically all white rowdy racist redneck ppl that own guns and love to drink and brawl. If I had to quantify it, I would say there is at least a 5% chance of physical violence ensuing if I did not chop and won (or chopped after getting HU). Whichever donk bubbled would be pretty pissed. Along with all the ppl I sent to the rail, who are waiting on us to finish so game 2 can start. Note that you are NOT playing in game 2 (aka hit and run). Sooooo...

Question 1: Do you offer a chop at this point??
Question 2: If so what chop do you offer??
Question 3: If they offered a chop what is the least $$ you would accept?

I would take 20 outta the prize pool and give it 2 forth place and then play the tourney out paying 4 spots with 4th getting their money back.

I would structure it something like this:

    You -- $300
    No. 2 stack -- 160
    shorties -- $30 each

then winner take the last $200

Or if you want to end it:
    You -- $400
    No. 2 -- $250
    Shorties -- $35 each
Playing big pots at small stakes.

What are the payouts? With top 3 being paid, prizes are probably something like 1st: $360, 2nd: $220, 3rd: $120

I think either of those suggestions would make it more likely you get lynched... Suggesting you just take 3/4+ of first prize money and then "play it out" for $200 more? (where you have about a 50% chance to win that). Even suggestion #2 is basically saying "okay guys I will take first place money, here is some scraps for the shorties".

FWIW here is how ICM calculates the equities (for a standard 50/30/20 payout):

    You- $262
    good player- $233
    donk 1 - $102.50
    donk 2 -$102.50

Given your advantage over these guys, but also not wanting to be too insulting, I'd suggest $320 for yourself, but settle for $300. I'd offer up a deal of 320/250/80/80.

Usually third place gets about twice its money back...given that you are splitting third place among two people, allotting 30 percent of the prize pool for third seems overally generous.

With top 3 paid and 36 runners, 3rd place would be awarded much more than double their money back...

Unfortunately I never found out the normal payout schedule but I assume it would be something like $360, $240, $120. They suggested $270 for me and $150 for each of them, which I ended up taking (lol@2nd place guy who got pwned). I figure I shoulda held out for or at least suggested $300 as some of you said.

My gf then made me buy a round of drinks for the 3 opps since they were nice enough to chop (FUCKING LOL!!), and I did not want to look like a douche after she suggested it in front of them, so I did. I later explained how -EV that was to her after we left, and how I was doing them a favor by chopping but w/e, GG rednecks.

lol wow that 2nd biggest stack shot himself on the foot with that one. All in all, not a terrible deal for you though. Until your gf suggested the drinks

Great job, and I also hate when winning a tourney everyone thinks you need to buy a round of drinks. I only recently accepted a chop at a MTT live tourney also because of this same type of scenerio.
    3 3 3 I'm only half evil.
