    Default KK vs reraise

All right. After a big losing streak last month I've decided I need to do something about my play. So far I've only read posts here, not shared my trouble hands, mostly because I'm sorta embarassed over when things go wrong/bad reads. But, as they say, only one way of learning, so criticize away...

Villain here is unknown to me, just came into the table. 120 hands later he reads at 18/15/3, but that ofc won't help me this hand.

    $0.5/$1 No Limit Holdem
    6 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($78.13)
    UTG 1 ($112.09)
    CO ($110.53)
    BTN ($135.74)
    Hero (SB) ($111.69)
    BB ($34.43)

    Pre-flop: ($1.50, 6 players) Hero is SB
UTG raises to $2, 3 folds, Hero raises to $10.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $8.50

    Flop: ($22, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $11, Hero raises to $27.50, UTG goes all-in $56.63, $29.13 to Hero ($73.69)?

I'm figuring he's on an overpair or a flushdraw, though the 4 hands that beat me, AA, 22, 33 or 32creeps up in my mind. And that has been my problem lately, I get insecure about big hands. Call all-in right play?

If you lead out on flop (which you should do pretty often) and he shoves all-in, you're not folding.

Let alone if you c/r this flop, and he shoves all-in. Now you're DEFINITELY not folding.

If someone said they'd pay you $50 to fold, I still wouldn't fold!

ok you get the point. It's only $29 more to you in a big pot, so this is an insta call and you should be VERY happy to make it. He will have tons of overpairs worse than yours and flush draws etc etc.

I agree with griffey on this one. There is no way you can get away from this hand here. Too often he is gonna have a flush draw or a lower overpair than yours. Hope you called and it worked out for the best.

Same as what they said. I expect he had AA for some reason.

Yep, he showed up AA on the showdown, and no K to help me out. I snapcalled that raise and just wanted some confirmation that I did the right thing, although it cost me 3/4 of my stack.

This is the most standard hand ever, you should be delighted to get it in here.

    Snap call....fist pump.

3bet pot, KK, safe board. If his calling 3bets with 22 or A3s or some kinda 3, thats a huge leak. His range consists of soooo many hands that you are beating. Try not to be result oriented.

Also this is super standard and you should not be second guessing yourself here.

I like leading out flop much better than C/R it.

If you didn't get this in pre-flop, it's going in post on a board like this. Call it a cooler. PLEASE note up this pussy for min-raising UTG with AA.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

If you're playing 6-handed your KK will run into AA about every 4400 hands or so, and you're a big favorite to lose your stack, often times preflop, sometimes on the flop. Just factor that in to the cost of doing business with KK.

You're getting like 4-1 on the call and you're going to be good here like...I dunno...98% of the time or more.

    Is the c/r standard?
I'd probably just cbet/shove or push turn.

    In which way?

Seeing that nobody said anything about the flop c/r I assume everybody thinks it's standard in this situation against the described villain. What's it about this particular hand that makes c/r > cbetting ?

Without history I think 90% of the players are betting this flop with like 90% of their holdings when we check after 3betting. (well, at least a lot)
But imo a c/r looks stronger than a bet-bet line, so I like bet-bet because imo it get's lighter stack-offs from most villains. It's also easier to balance than a c/r, imo.

Yah I'd say opponent dependent. Some people perceive c/r's in 3bet pots to be exclusively draws, and stack off with the dumbest hands ever. Stacking off lighter than they would had you just bet flop bet turn.

this a great flop to stack off on
