Here is a hand vs. Team Pokerstars Pro Bertstrand “Elky” Grospellier in a $3 rebuy on Pokerstars. The hand in question was when there were about 50 people left out of ~4,000 starting. I will try to give as much info on the prior action. Elky was moved to my table and a couple hands later he got disconnected and was sitting for a couple hands. I searched him and he was also playing 3 $5k heads up SnG’s, which he was also disconnected from. I figure he cant be paying too much attention to a tourney with 1st place the same prize as 1 of his HU Sng's.
A few hands after he came back he min raised from early pos. and I re-raised with 10’s and he folded. 6 hands later he min raised from mid pos. and I re-raised with AK and he folded. 8 hands later he was down to 140k with 20k blinds and he went all-in in late pos. and took down the blinds. The next hand he pushes 190k in late pos with 77 and gets called by 10-9s and doubles up. 8 hands after that he open shoves in 290k at 20k blinds in mid pos. when I was in the big blind and takes the pot.6 hands later it folds to him in SB and he min raises and takes the blinds. The next hand he shoves 345k with blinds at 25k on the button and takes the blinds. 2 hands after that is the hand in question.
He min-raises from mid pos. when Im in the big blind. I figure he has to have some kind of hand to raise my blind again when Im the only one that has played back at him. His min raise kind of scares me because he played the last couple hands aggressively so I just call hoping to hit a good flop cheaply. I didn’t really want to re-raise and get into a race situation or even be dominated. If I re-raise and he calls what do I do if I miss the flop oop? (Sorry I couldnt get the hand converter to work)

I check the flop trying to check-raise like I usually do oop to a pre flop raiser when I hit the flop. I rarely lead out oop to a pre flop raiser (Possible leak). I pretty much only play low stake MTT's now so I dont have to really worry about that being obvious in my play.He ends up checking which is strange to me. What could he possibly have here? Is he slow playing a monster or just trying to see the turn for cheap? Maybe he has complete air and is giving up on the pot?
*** TURN *** [Jd 5d 7d] [7s]
shock3r: bets 100000
ElkY: raises 251295 to 351295 and is all-in
shock3r: calls 251295
I bet ~pot size on the turn and he pushes. At this point I don’t think I can fold.
Please let me know how you would play this hand. If you re-raise pre flop then pretend that you didn’t, do you lead the flop? I always figure a good player is going to c-bet almost any flop, so if I flop a good hand I pretty much always check raise. I will post the results in a day or two.
