    Default Creating a Grindroll

Ok I am fairly new to the poker world, I have been playing for almost 2 years and have experienced much that poker has to offer online but my play has been restricted to depositing then winning some then cashing out, I have won a badbeat jackpot in this time aswell as a few MTT but I am fairly inexperienced at grinding out sng but this is my new task.

My plan is as follows, approach poker from a different perspective and actually create a bankroll and play within its limits to grind up to higher limits.

I was thinking of about 250$ starting capital and playing 5$ sng and playing 10nl cash games.

I have created a set of rules for each limit and set goals, and also a spreadsheet which should include all relevant information and be a good way to track my progress in the early stages.

I am after a few tips on what is the best way to approach this? what software should I get to aid my progress? Which sites have the best/easiest bonus to clear at playing sng? what sort of time frames are involved in moving to next levels? And how much is considerd a profitable day playing 5$ sng and at what stage should I stop the session?

    All help is greatly appreicated!

And I would like to hear some stories of people who have started out doing the same thing and turned there small roll into a large roll.

Most people who play low, middle, or high stakes started off with a small deposit (or loan in my case) in the micros. My suggestion is to stick to one specific type of poker until you get better at that before you start playing more than one game (cash, sng, mtt, etc).

    Good luck.

I played SNGs for a long time and thought I was doing well at them, but now I think they're crap. How frustrating is it to get your chips in way good against a bad opponent only for them to suck out? Your only option is to buy-in to a different SNG against different opponents. In cash games, you just rebuy and have a great shot at getting your money back. Just don't tilt.

What I like to do now is to play a few cash game tables along with one multi-table tournament. If you're playing tight/aggressive (I tried loose/aggressive, and it's fun but a lot harder, and it's near-impossible to multi-table), it's not too hard to play a few tables at once. The MTTs are nice for the big jackpot that can really boost your bankroll, while the cash game can allow you to grind up a bankroll more steadily.

Played SNGs for a while, but gotten out of them. Think you should maybe stick to SNG's lower than the $5 until you get use to them and have a bigger roll, that way the variance doesnt catch up with you. NL10 is perfect for you right now. You can adjust to online play through this level and should be able to build up your roll. I would just stick to a TAG style right now and you should get paid. Most important.

    1. Stick with your bankroll management.
