Default 99, Bubble play with shortstack all-in

I'm not sure I played this right. My thinking is, if I don't eliminate shortstack here, I'd rather keep him around. I also created a sidepot -- would you bet bigger or push here preflop?

I reshove this every day of the week. The last thing you want is for the second stacked button to come along for the ride, overcards to hit and button not to check it down.

To be honest I liked the way you play the hand. I would probably play almost identically. Bavaria just limped in preflop and that to me 4 handed doesnt mean strength. And in my eyes 99 has a good advantage against anything he could have. So raising to 1050 is both a "leave now" and a "sure, call, why not?". And both instances would have been beneficial. The push on the flop can entice a call from a flush draw and/or straight draw so if he folds, you most likely win a good amount 75% of the time, and if he calls, you still 90% have the advantage to win a huge sidepot.

The other thing I meant to say is that I don't agree with shoving the flop as played. I would bet 1300 or so and fold to a shove. You wonder whether this is a shove that only gets called by hands you don't want to see.

I would much prefer to reshove preflop however.

I think I would have bet 2/3 after the flop. I would think that is enough to represent you have it but yet not risk it all. Same effect less risk as I would have folded if he would have came over the top of me! Your still in the race with 2695 chips rather than 770.

i agree with taipan and harleyguy .. it seems pretty likely bavariarules didn't have a better pp but him wanting to see the flop by calling your pf raise would probably put him with suited connectors or Axs or Kxs or whatever .. the only reason he would call your shove is if he had something and that something would have most likely beaten your 99 ..

a 1/2 to 2/3 pot size bet would have had the same effect to drive him out while leaving an escape route in case he insta-clicked all in with his 6c7c ;P

    Firstly I'm all in preflop.

Secondly that flop shove is mental imo. Maybe a nut draw calls. Otherwise only hands that beat you are there. He probably called to maximise chance of getting him out
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.

I totally agree with ginger here. What would bavaria have here to call our AI when SB is about to bust and bubble out? Unless I've seen bavaria to be a tricky guy (limping monsters), I'm all in preflop.
