    Default Blinds are creeping [5,50]

What do we do? Consider every factor.
IMO, my reads indicate I'm most probably up against pairs+ suited and unsuited broadways.

    PokerStars (Tournament): $5 + $0.50, 6 players
    Wed, Dec 10, 2008 23:41:54 VET
    (Format: BBCode)

    B3 ($1,215)
    B2 ($1,755)
    B1 ($2,280)
    BN ($3,360)
    SB ($2,170)
    Jizzy Sawya ($2,720)

    BN is the button.

    Precards:
SB posts the small blind $100, Jizzy Sawya posts the big blind $200.

Preflop: Jizzy Sawya is dealt (6 active)
    B3 raises to $1,215 (all-in), B2 folds, B1 raises to $2,280 (all-in), 2 folds, Jizzy Sawya?

i'd fold, and probably fist pump since it looks like you dodged a bigger pair

    Easy fold I think.

I probably checked the fold box to the first all in.

    No-brainer after the overshove
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.

TNX guys, I feared I was getting results oriented.

FWIW I was ahead of both of them.

But were you ahead of their RANGES, that's what really counts?

You have the second-biggest stack and have no need to get involved. B1 shouldn't be playing here without a monster, either. Even if you have a crystal clear read that they are sharing or two overcards (like AQ/AK), you'll still lose like 55-60 percent of the time.

Alright, bear with me and my crazy calcs. Please tell me if I did it wrong.

    I got t2720.
    B3 got t1215
    B1 got t2280.

    I get to call t2080 (t2280 - 200) to win {t1215 + t 2280 + t100 + t200 + t2080} = t5875.

So I get to call t2080 to win t5875, which would be slightly 1:2.82 for an opportunity to knock two guys out, get massive chipleadaments and keep 2.5BB if I call and lose, which means in worst case scenario I'm pushing the rest in this orbit when SB is gone.

Which should be my calling range in this scenario, assuming they might have pairs + unsuited and suited broadways as villains shove ranges? The second guy (B3) almost always has broadways here, else he would call pot committed to tarp (my scarce reads), so we can safely discard paired hands from his range (or maybe more realistically keep small ones like 55 and under).

Homey, chip EV doesn't matter as much here as $ EV. Redo your calcs based upon $ EV using ICM and see what your hand equity needs to be.

Can you help me with this? I don't really know how to do this properly. I assume we need to take it as percentages of the total prize pool?

Yeah, that's right - then figure out what percentage equity your hand needs to be to make this a breakeven call (you need to calculate your % of the prize pool if you fold, call and win and call and lose then % you need to win is (fold - call lose)/(call win - call lose).

Don't have time right now but if you have trouble I'll try to do the calc over the next couple of days.
