Default I just won the .10 360-player turbo crapfest on Stars

...and I only had to hit one 3-outer to do it. Here's the trimmed history: http://www.flopturnriver.com/Online-...ment-4639.html

The last hand was super-sick. I had my mouse over the "Call all-in" area, but he unexpectedly just completed the small blind instead of shoving, so when I did my insta-click, I minraised instead of putting him all-in. Anyways, here's the final hand:

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10+$0.00 Tournament, 10000/20000 Blinds 2000 Ante (2 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t147364)
    Hero (SB) (t392636)

    Hero's M: 11.55

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9, A
Button calls t10000, Hero raises to t40000, Button calls t20000

    Flop: (t84000) 5, 2, 3 (2 players)
Hero bets t40000, Button calls t40000

    Turn: (t164000) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets t65364 (All-In), Hero calls t65364

    River: (t294728) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Total pot: t294728

    Results in white below:
Button had 8, A (one pair, twos).
Hero had 9, A (one pair, twos).
    Outcome: Hero won t294728

This thing is mostly preflop play, but when I did manage to get into some postflop situations, I played them pretty well. Here was my biggest hand at the final table:

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10+$0.00 Tournament, 4000/8000 Blinds 800 Ante (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP (t70628)
    CO (t19924)
    Button (t257076)
    SB (t59324)
    Hero (BB) (t93634)
    UTG (t39414)

    Hero's M: 5.57

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, 10
3 folds, Button calls t8000, 1 fold, Hero raises to t20000, Button calls t12000

    Flop: (t48800) 8, 3, 5 (2 players)
    Hero checks, Button checks

    Turn: (t48800) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets t16000, Hero raises to t32000, Button calls t16000

    River: (t112800) 5 (2 players)
    Hero bets t40834 (All-In), 1 fold

    Total pot: t112800

    Results:
    Hero didn't show K, 10 (nothing).
    Outcome: Hero won t112800

The best thing of all was that while I was in the middle of playing this one, I only had .07 and a bunch of FPPs left in my account. Getting boosted to $8.57 is a godsend... now I can hopefully play a few of the $1.20s without going broke when my AA gets outdrawn by a Q6 who has one of his 6s blocked.

And yes, I know I'm not practicing good bankroll management right now. I recently made a $500 withdrawal and then had a huge downturn, and until I get back up to like $30 it's going to be impossible for me to do otherwise.

For a good time, try these things. It's kind of fun for open-shoving AJs be a +EV play. At $0.10, they'd probably be cheap fun while drunk. Just don't convince yourself that moving up in stakes -- to something that costs more than a dime -- would be a good idea.

I would love to see a $0.10 rebuy. That would just be ridiculous.

Oh yeah, here's that 3-outer for your viewing pleasure. Keep in mind that these tables are super loose, so shoving AJ over a raise as a SS is pretty standard play in my opinion.

Don't feel too bad for CO. The whole reason I was short-stacked was that his AK beat my TT two hands before when he was all-in, or we wouldn't even have been in this situation.

i have played my share when at work. best i have done is sixth and quite a few ITM albeit in the 20 -36 player range.

i half-ass care and don't at .10 but i will admit to using the few last dimes of a bankroll, too.

    Congrats. I've gotten 2nd once, and a few ITM's.

I think these are great for getting down push/fold since they're so cheap and the blinds skyrocket. Afterward you can review the hands you played and use Pokerstove to check out how you do against a specific hand that occured, ranges of hands that players are likely to call or push with, or random hands the crazies or the true desperate may play.

I've found these are similar in pace to some live casino donkaments. So if you can learn to play somewhat successfully in these it may give you an large edge if you ever find yourself in a live tournament.
