    in his defense, if he calls 2 streets with J8 on that board, it's because he thinks he didn't need the river J.

    I love the way you bet every street, best way to maximise your winnings IMO. If you had checked the flop and opp checked behind, I doubt whether you would have been able to get it AI without overbetting.

    Too many low buyin players slowplay themselves out of a lot of value by not betting. You have to remember that these are low buyin opps so are mostly calling stations. If Villain has nothing, he will fold. If he has either Kx or Jx he will probably still just call rather than raise. To win a big pot here, we have to bet to build a big pot.
