Default Sunday Million - another ranges question

Let's assume no reads. What should my range be here?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $200+$15 Tournament, 200/400 Blinds (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t10325)
    SB (t14075)
    BB (t11875)
    UTG (t3800)
    UTG+1 (t6825)
    MP1 (t5200)
    Hero (MP2) (t7625)
    MP3 (t9475)
    CO (t13000)

    Hero's M: 12.71

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with x,x
3 folds, Hero raises to t1000, 3 folds, SB raises to t4000, 1 fold, Hero raises to t7625 (All-In)

Depending on the table, I'm okay with raise/folding some hands as attempted steals. So I'm wondering what I should be raise/pushing with here.

How about 99+ and AK? Is that too nitty?

Edit: Okay I've thought about it and I've decided it's too nitty. 88+ and probably AQ too. What about 77?

Edit again: Without reads, should we assume a tight range for the villain? Or in the Sunday Million (and other donktacular tournaments), should it be looser? Actually I think this is my real question.

Is the villain's range likely to be 88+ AQ+ or is it way looser? (generally speaking) Because I'm pretty sure I'm an underdog with even 99 if that's his range ...

I've highlighted a bad word in your thought process!

Well, with that 3-bet, and your stack size, you have to know that your villian (unless a complete idiot) is NEVER folding to your push.

I hate the "assume no reads" statement though, cause there's gotta be at least some intuition going on here. 99+, AK is a good medium range for this move, but on some tables I can see loosening that all the way to 22+, A9+, KT+, and on others, tightening up to JJ+.

The answer is: there is no answer. It's also a personal preference to risk tolerance that affects your range here also.

Narrowing down the SB's range is also ridonkulous without any reads, so a generalized range of 88+, AQ+ is probably ok also. But this might be the nit of all nits with a range of KK+, or a slobbering peanut with a range of {random}...
    Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

Of course, that was the assumption the entire time.

The bottom of my "default" calling range vs a complete unknown would be 88 and AQ, but you can always get some rudimentary reads by looking people up on OPR. If I have an idea that he's a nit, I'd fold 88, 99, and AQ, but I wouldn't fold TT or AK against anyone.

I would also assume that your average villain has a looser range than 88+ AQ+, but you should be stealing with any two cards if you think that is actually what people's range is to play back at you here.

do you open 22-66 here Courtie?

I read mcat's pocket pairs thread

Uhh that being said, with my stack size, I don't think I would open with 22-66 unless the table wasn't allowing me to steal in LP. Usually if it's difficult for me to steal in LP I switch to EP steals, and then I like raising 22-66. I suppose that that makes no sense, though, because if it's a steal, I should be raising with pretty much ATC and the fact that it's a PP shouldn't matter anymore.

I should definitely use OPR, thanks for the tip mcat.
