Thanks. your comments are very helpful. I did notice he was very tight, but I never considered raising any 2 from the SB, I usually raise anything but two low cards. But I now I see that he was so tight that I should be raising any two once I notice how tight he is (and thus also respecting his raises more).

I donked out in the one hand because I called preflop figuring I would bet out if I paired, hit a big draw, or if the board came all low-mid cards. I was going to give it up after the flop with a call, but the I spiked the turn.
