Trimmed bubble $6.50

[gingerwizard]

Just trimmed a bubble from a $6.50 where I believe I was unlucky to bust 3rd, but think I played ok.

I have the big stack and the blinds were quite low to start so I'm interested to see if I was not aggressive enough/too aggressive.

Ilsanto is a reg and just about winning (although it looks like he chases losses as ROI is -3%. I've played him lots and he often ends up on my tables (3 this session). He is pretty tight from the SB, folds way more than he should and always shows up with an A or a high kicker K. (Guess he shoves pairs too, but he's too tight anyway).

Shortie has played scared all tournie and the other stack seems pretty solid.

I'm going to post this, then post my own comments after it (so I can see it with smilies etc).

Hand 9- No way this guy gets a walk. I fold to a shove

Hand 10-Don't want to be shoving while BB has nearly 12BBs and there are no antes.

Hand 14- Now everyone is down to 10BBs I can shove wide when folded to I think. They've been pretty tight anyway and they should call pretty tight. Even If I'm shoving 100% (which I'm not but maybe I should), BB can only call with 88+. With the wide range I am shoving it's more like TT+. Note AK is NOT in there.

Hand 15- Can't decide why I showed them the hooks. Maybe was fishing for respect and not sure I should have.

JHeart TDiamond BU (M = 28.35; p+F) Pretty sure with ilsanto as tight as I've said this is a fold. If he shoves 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+, KJo+, QJs then I should only call with 55+, ATo+,A9s+. Pretty sure his range is only marginally wider.

Hand 17 - Highric has been solid and raising UTG a lot. Perhaps this is because when it's my small i'm most unlikely to call. I don't have wiz yet to check the maths of this one, but I'm fairly sure it's ok. Think he's open raising 22+,Ax+,K8+,Q9+,J9+ there, calls with 77+, A9s+,ATo+,KQs perhaps. Maybe he's a little looser with the pairs.

Hand 18- Not sure about this. It's a shove if middle stack calls tight (88+,AQs+,AKo). If I'm shoving 100% this is still only a call for mid-stack with JJ+, and given that I think he knows what he's doing to a point, I think he calls pretty tight.

Hand 19 - He's raising UTG all the time so I don't hate the call given we're both deep enough to play post flop. If shortie shoves I might not like it. Got to bet out there as hardly any of his range hit that flop.

JSpade TSpade SB (M = 18.80; r+f+F). Think he raised more this time, and I decided to leave it. Perhaps because the move had worked once, and I'm much more likely to get into tough spots with JTs than with T8o vs his range. I don't know though, maybe it was a call.

Hand 20. I though hand 18 was a mistake at the time (although I think it was ok now) so I'm back to standard raising. Maybe I should be shoving here.

Hand 21, snap call even though he is tight, he ain't tight enough to make this a fold.

Hand 22 looks pretty marginal now. I think ilsanto is tight enough just, but maybe SB is not. Turning it round if I'm shoving 50% (of which K5o is right on the border) then they should call with 88+, AJo+,ATs+. I think they call way wider than that which suggests maybe this was bad.

Hand 23 is fine with the read I have IMO. He's been raising when first to act for ages now, and as it's my BB, now 3 handed it's time to stop it.

I'm not so sure he's that tight so hmmm.
