    Default Playing Aces [6,50]

First hand of tournament. The gameplan was to call moderate bets on any spade river, and pretty much call any bets on any other river, reassessing situation on any sixes, nines, fours and jacks river. The only river I'd raise with was this one.

    MP2 (t1500)

    Flop: (t330) , , (3 players)
    UTG+1 checks, MP3 checks, Jizzy Sawya bets t200, 1 fold, MP3 calls t200

I raise more preflop and bet closer to full pot on the flop which should set us up to either shove the turn or alternatively bet half our remaining stack on the turn and get the rest in on the river.

As played, I don't understand why you checked behind on the turn.

    make it 140 pre....

    (420 in pot)
340-360 on flop...(if called by two preflop)

    Shove turn.

Turn is not a complete blank in opps possible range. Check behind can also induce bluffs.

Check behind also gives opp a free card to beat you on a pretty drawy board, I don't like it.

PF size is fine, there's a fine line between charging worse hands and completely blowing our opponent's range out of the pot.

Flop bet, however, is entirely too small, 275 at the least. I make it 295 personally. Turn is a must bet as it gives a lot of straights draws pairs, or pairs on the flop gutterballs/oeds.

check behind on turn is UGLY. Why give a free card for the draws? I'm betting 500 at least on turn.

River is totally standard. Your game plan isn't.

The turn check allows you to call moderate bets on the river if the draws come in. If they don't then not raising is sick IMO.

First hand of a $6.50 there are players in almost every game that will play anything and felt any pair. Hell I saw a middle pair AI raising war on a AT5 rainbow board 1st hand at one of my tables. KT bt QT! Point is, at these stakes you're getting AA all in and the more you get in on the turn the better

Just read the other responses. Don't see what's wrong with the pf bet size, maybe it's a matter of taste.

Checking to induce is crazy with so many draws. Because you let large parts of opponents range draw to beat you for free, and because you intend to pay them off "for moderate sized bets" you are making a horrible mistake. At a $6.50, they're gonna pay to draw anyway so credit crunch or no, you should still charge them.

I agree with the other replies, bet more on the flop, and definitely bet the turn.

why bet more preflop?with their range i think a lot of players call the hundred and fold to a bigger bet.

Personally I raise a little more preflop at the first level, say $125-$150. I think the limpers still call because they think they have odds to set mine or hit their suited connectors. Also, if someone wakes up with a hand behind you, esp. in the blinds, they're more inclined to just shove over.
