Default $6.50, button raise, A9o in SB

    Another range dependent one.

Villain has opened his last couple of buttons when folded to, I've not played back at him, although I did shove 2 hands in a row before his SB this orbit so if he's watching he may think I'm loose.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6.00+$0.50 Tournament, 75/150 Blinds (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t1315)
    Hero (SB) (t1545)
    BB (t1115)
    UTG (t5165)
    MP (t4360)

    Hero's M: 6.87

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 9
2 folds, Button raises to t450, Hero?

Has he been 3x raising up to this point, or has he started shoving already with his low M? I'd be concerned about the "I want a call so I'm just going to 3x" aspect when he should clearly be pushing in with his entire raising range.

I don't think you have a lot of fold equity, since even people with a poor grasp of bet sizing realize when they've just put in a third of their stack.

Unless you have a strong read of him raising like this with a hand you actually beat (i.e. he's not a reg), I think this spot is just too marginal.

Villain clearly does not understand push/fold bubble play. Still, I don't know how he could fold, and even the dumbest players usually understand this.

he hasn't pushed yet. Many don't cos they suck.

Even if you think he calls his entire opening range, even when stealing, that doesn't necessarily mean this is a fold. If he raises 100% for example I'm AI.

How many hands does he raise, of them how many are mucked if I push?

I think this is too read-dependent although I feel ya on the need to take a stand. I'm sure taipan will come here and say shove.

    I think I would shove 66+, ATs+

The problem with this hand is that I'm pretty sure that opp won't fold if you shove, and if that's the case he needs to be open raising pretty wide (at least 28% of hands assuming BB calls two shoves with 8%) to make this a good shove over.

I probably play it safe and fold although as baudib said I would be very tempted to shove over. Give me ATo and I probably would (because that turns +EV if he raises 20% or wider rather than 28%).

Hardest decision of the night that one. I could see him raising JT for instance, but the problem with setting his range to include that is it includes a lot of low kings I think he'd auto fold.

Do you ever have that problem?
