i'm sure its been mentioned about a thousand times, but i JUST saw knocked up and 40 yo virgin this fall.

cried and peeeeeeed at the same time for both.

but no one can take working in a movie theater, assembling Dumb and Dumber, getting buzzed on suds, laughing my ass off with 6 friends while screening it, only to have the fat as hell manager sitting with us waiting for a calm spot to tell one of the kids to "get a mop. i peeeeed."

that was funnier than ANY movie....evar.

I have no children of my own naturally, my wife had my daughter with her previous husband... and I would give just about anything to have my own demon spawn, but since that isn't happening, I adopted my daughter... Thanks, it is a little sad but not that bad, as I chose this path and knew full well my wife can't have any kids... plus I waited till 38 to get married... anyway how the hell did we get on this topic in a funny movie thread... damn...

As total proof that humor and taste varies among people, I totally hated all 4 of these movies.

I just caught sweeney todd on hbo last night. First time I saw it. Ofc its not the funniest of all time or anywhere close, but for what it was I thought it was pretty funny and an all around awesome movie.

oh and I dont think its been mentioned yet, but I laughed all the way through tropic thunder. I think you have to be pretty familiar with vietnam war movies to get all the jokes, my ex certainly didnt get it.

I was actually excited from the posters and such for Sweeney Todd to see it come out... 10 minutes in the fact that it was a musical turned me totally off of it. I just don't care for musicals. Graphically, it was beautiful, but I couldn't make it through it after 3 tries...

wow, really!? Thats sad man, musicals are awesome. I think they typically cater to a crowd that demands stories that suck balls, but on the rare occasion that its actually a quality story.. I mean think about the simpsons. Its pretty standard for them to bust into song and dance, and they are often some of the funniest episodes/scenes.

On a sorta unrelated note, your response reminds me of the simpsons where bart and homer pick the movie rental and its a clint eastwood western "paint your wagon." I just googled it, and its actually a real movie, lol.
