Default Short-handed Limping in Turbos vs Regular Sngos

In both turbos and regular 2.00+0.25 sngos, I notice that way too many people limp early on at a full or near full table. Almost all of these limps are weak. However, in the late game I see a difference in the meaning of limps in regular and sngos. In regular sngos, I have noticed that limping later in the stages, 2-4 handed, is still usually weak; I will shove over lightly and most won't call; but with the turbo sngos where the game gets in to push/fold mode so quick, a lot of short-handed limps mean big hands, KK, AA. I think this is because there is so much pushing they can expect a shorter stack to shove light with the pot so big; especially when so many people are multi-tabling and not really noticing that all of sudden this person has changed their behavior. Of course it's player dependent, but does any one else see this trend as well?

You see it sometimes. I think it's unfair to make a generalisation. More often than not a limp is a weak sucky hand. The occasional trappy player will do it with his AA and that's just part of it.. If I ever see it I make a note, and move on.

Yes, that's what I've been doing, just making notes on the players who limp strong. I guess the question is what do I do with that information. Do I want to fear such a limp from this player when they do it in the future, or play as usual against them until I see them do it a second time at least.. They may just have been doing it that one time, right, or for a particular situation against an aggressive player?

Notes are hard to obtain at the best of times. I don't shove over a guy who limps AA UTG with AQo when he limps UTG in a different SNG, unless he limp folds sometimes.

If there's a "special" table where one guy goes all in most hands, then the read shouldn't be "limps AA UTG," but "clever player who adjusts to table dynamic."

I concentrate far more on players who limp then fold to a raise or shove. If I can get that read, I can shove back wider into them. If they limp/call too much, I need a good hand to shove into them. I guess what I'm saying is that there are more important things to concentrate on. Finding the guys who limp a lot but fold a lot of their limp range as opposed to the guys with limp a lot and call with most of their limp range is the key.

Limpers of monsters will limp other hands, and always call with the monsters. It's like when you shove 83o from the SB into the BB who calls with QQ. You hate to see it happen, you look like the idiot who made a dumb play against QQ, but you still did the right thing. Just happened to run into a monster.
