Default Late in SnG 3 Handed

I'm really unsure of this one. I think I was okay with calling the initial all in by the short stack, but I think I should have folded after the over the top all in by the BB. Maybe I shouldn't have even called the short stack considering the BB was still behind me? Totally lost on this one.

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 1+0.25 Tournament, 80/160 Blinds (3 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t1780)
    Hero (SB) (t6445)
    BB (t5275)

    Hero's M: 26.85

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 6
Button raises to t1780 (All-In), Hero calls t1700, BB raises to t5275 (All-In), Hero calls t3495

I think A6 is a little loose to call a shove, even from the short stack. You're 60/40 with the lower part of his range (K7+) , and dominated by a large portion (A7+). Heads up, or with much bigger blinds, it'd be closer, but in this spot just fold and find a better place to get it in.

I don't mind pushing an A7 from the SB or button, because you're pretty good against 2 random cards. However, when the shorty shows some strength by pushing first you're not getting much of an edge at all.

Easy fold with the shove after you. you probably had the first guy but the shove after is a strong move. you're probably beat

Ran it in wiz. If you assume BB only calls a shove with JJ+ and AK, this is a fold even if you know the button will go all in with 100% of possible hands.

    You need 99+, AQ+ IMO

To be clear that is fold to the button shove.

(I suppose WIZ assumes push or fold, but flatting 30% of your stack seems bad)

I fold pretty quickly the first and the second time.

probably you're overestimating A6. I assume you would have auto folded JT

Thanks, everyone. I definitely need to get SnG Wizard and do some studying. drmc, you're right, I probably would have auto folded JT. I see I was definitely overestimating A6.

Calling is always bad regardless. Either shove or fold. As you move up in stakes, BB will shove over your call with any two, because it looks weak. Easy money.

    Shove is terrible
