Default TT UTG donkament but fun.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00+$0.20 Tournament, 75/150 Blinds (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP1 (t1425)

    SB (t1845)
    BB (t5180)

    UTG+1 (t4420)

    Hero's M: 17.67

Preflop: Hero is UTG with ,
Hero raises to t300, 6 folds, BB raises to t450, Hero calls t150

    Flop: (t975) , , (2 players)
    BB bets t4730 (All-In), Hero ?

Should I have shoved pre flop ? Should I have folded before any action, should I call Here?
Villain has made his stack with aggressive play but has not shown down many hands.

Don't minraise pre here. Make it right around 3x.

    As played, call the flop.

Pre flop w/ deep stacks i'll check/call w/TT from UTG. Here the w/ the blinds so high there worth pickng up. So A raise here is mandotory I think. I like to raise around 2.5x the bb so I put in a raise of say 375. But the 3x is fine. Here he min. raises you then shoves the flop. This screams to me aces. He wanted you to 3bet pre to get you all in. Although this could be AK as well. There are just too many hands that beat you here. You won't have a good stack if you fold but its still worth keeping. I say 70/30 fold.

Never minraise pre, you get very little information to narrow your opponents' hand ranges and you rarely take down the blinds.

As played I think we have to fold. Without a read I think the worst hands in his range are decent draws, the best ones have you crushed.

I minraise preflop all the time but I think UTG it's a bad play. I like it better when you're on the button because then you get the blinds to call you with terrible hands and invariably they get outplayed postflop when they're starting with such bad hands.

    I fold here BTW.

even late in a tourney, when the blinds are worth something? (kind of off topic, oh well)

i would guess mcat would be more willing to button minraise when effective stacks are somewhat deep (and the disadvantage of being OOP is greater)

i also vote for folding this flop but i dont have much to add
