Late Stages of $4.40 180 person Tourney

If find myself barely cashing or getting to the final table with a small amount of chips before busting out in 8th or 9th too often. Should I be trying harder to double up with 20-25 people left in hopes of building a stack, but with the risk of not cashing as often, or just pick better spots to be pushing once I do cash? This is not very specific, but any general advice would be appreciated.

I had the same problem, i improved it by getting much more aggressive as the bubble was approaching. I try to get first place and make a real effort to get all my chips in with a hand or if i feel somebody is weak. Loads of people will try to get ITM and then make a move. They are the ones to try and attack. Once you get late you must to steal at least once an orbit even if it means going all in.
When the blinds are big its no time to go wobbly!
