Default Sort of LC: Players who just don't get ICM

BB didn't even think about it here, he INSTA called. Even if I am shoving 100% here (which I may or may not be) this is only +0.3% EV - bit too slim of an edge for me to take here in BB's shoes.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $25+$2 Tournament, 200/400 Blinds 25 Ante (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB (t2015)
    Hero (UTG) (t7940)
    Button (t1480)
    SB (t2065)

    Hero's M: 11.34

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 2, K
    Hero raises to t7915 (All-In), 2 folds, BB calls t1590 (All-In)

    Results:
    BB had J, A
    Hero had 2, K

I am not surprised at all that he called this

His call is super standard for online sng fish.

No way is your average player folding AT in this spot either. The good ones probably fold it, but looking at it, if he knows your owning the bubble, he'll have 4bbs left if he folds and will hit the SB next. All stacks are equally short, you're gonna shove every 2 and this may be the best spot he'll see before his chips are blinded off. He may feel that any +$EV play is worth it.

without checking I would have guessed it was slightly -$EV if you're on ATC, but as it's positive this should be a call.

Given he insta-called, he's either an ICM genius (cos he took a +EV spot in a situation where it looks like every spot will be -$EV unless he finds JJ+), or he's an idiot who fluked a good call.

I would have folded and been surprised this was a call. (But then I KNOW you're shoving ATC here. If you were unknown this is a snap fold because you can't assume you're on ATC)

Neither am I, I suppose I posted the hand because it was very close and it certainly isn't an insta call. I wonder whether when the cards were flipped he was happy that he got his chips in good whilst once you take ICM into account he probably didn't

I'm really not sure what I'd do here.

I may be a huge fish...

    Which would explain lots.
    Blah blah Op Blah blah

Faith in Jesus Christ is +EV. That is all.

I'd snapcall this so long as button is not ultra risk averse, and I'm surprised you wouldn't. Button has a really good chance of chipping up next hand, because TAG bigstacks tend to call a bit too tight. But not tight enough to give us a ton of fold equity next orbit. A +EV call shouldn't be passed here imo.

It may be a crying call but it definitely isn't a snap call. I need to be shoving something like 80% of hands here to make this call even +EV and even if I am shoving 100% it is only +0.3% EV which is pretty slim.

It's a snap fold for me in-game. I'm surprised it's +EV but then only if biggy is shoving 100%. My default read would be around 60% unless they are seriously winning.
