Pretty cool vid with the same shit we've all heard before, but the stuff about how the Earth and Sun line up with the centre of the Milky Way or w/e (i havent watched this in a while) once every 25 000 years and thats when its going to happen is interesting.

the asteroid apophis could hit the earth on 2036. most recent calculations, though, are that there's about a 1 in 10k chance of that. however, in 2029 we will see it pass 'below' the moon, and it will be the largest object in outer space to be viewed from earth.

if before 2029, scientists confirm that it will indeed impact earth in 2036, then we will send up a ship to gravitationally alter its course. so no real threat here, all in all
