help me with this situation...

i have 22,000ish
blinds are 500/1000 with a 100 ante.
im in the big blind and get dealt pocket Jacks.
the guy first to act calls for 1000
everyone folds around to the button
the guy on the button raises to 3500 all day.
the small blind folds
now its on me....

WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS DO?

oh and the money was coming up in a couple more spots

first to act so somewhere in top 10%
other guy top 25%
gives you 37% equity on stove. so the odds ok but a live player behind you, who might be about to shove. So OOP like this I am folding.

right, its just a hard situation with a guy who just limps UTG because he could easily be holding a higher pair.

vs unknown I would just move in, stats/reads might change that. I don't assume UTG limpers have AA but rather that they suck at poker.

lol true, i like that theory, i guess based on what stakes you're playing at that time can help you determine if this person is making a great play or a stupid one.

Its read dependent for me. If this guy has been moving in to steal the blinds OTB or something I'd shove, etc.

My initial reaction with no reads is to call and see what hits, but with the money coming up - maybe you can choose a better spot since you're OOP.
