    Default next dumb question..

dont see where this will get seen quicker, so here it goes...

anyone using HEM trial version get the HHs to import, but nothing else? no summaries? no way to track results?

do we have to import summaries from pokerstars like in PT?

i like the appearance of the software, but it seems like as big a pain as PT when it comes to analyzing tourneys, however, i know that is just me since i dont have it set up correctly.

    thanks for any help.

Some of us need to sleep!

The new Beta edition has tourney support. Prior to this tourney support was crap. Try to see if you can patch it up with the Beta edition. The latest version is at the top of the HEM forum.

Ooh interesting. I never had any luck with the tourney section, it just seems to work like the cash ones but with blinds instead of stakes. Really useless.

It could be better, but at least it allows you to track your winnings etc. The hand replayer is pretty pathetic still. Check out Chopper's other recent post and you will find a link to another thread I posted, in which there is a short video of the tourney section of HEM.

here's the thing: while you were "sleeping"...

i figured it out. its a pain in the ass, imo. but, i got it.

HEM doesnt say much, that i could find, about WHAT you need to get a complete result set up. the manuals and FAQ's are not very helpful in that area, either, imo. it took me HOURS yesterday to figure out exactly what i needed to do.

however, its fairly simple once you get that far.

-download the beta 1.08 version. (i'll try and get a link here)
-read about configuration (this part was very well done by the HEM crew)
    -start auto-importing HHs
-once your tourneys are finished, or whenever, request the summaries from stars. (request tournaments feature from the main lobby)

now it gets a little "tricky."

-copy/paste those summaries into a ".txt" file. (i just used the notepad, but i suppose Word/Works etc will also do.)
-i have to move that file into a folder on my desktop so i used the folder i created back in the day for all the processed PT files to go to when PT was done with them. all i had to do was keep it empty so HEM can find the file easier.
-stop the auto import and click "import from folder." select the folder you put the .txt file in.
-now go under the tourney tab in HEM.
    -click "results"

you may have to play with the filter in HEM under the results tab, too. my turbos are showing under the non-turbo, so i selected "all speeds" and i tried to filter the BIs, but i've only played the one level so far. so, thats pretty moot for me.

anyway, play around with it. someone can do better with these directions, but it should cover the basics.

feel free to make this prettier and get yours stickied, or something, because the HEM is a breeze once you get that far. but, there need to be some instructions, imo, since the FAQ doesnt help much in this particular area.

but, no more manually typing the results and other junk. the graphs and trends and roi/itm stuff is fairly cool to track.

thanks for the help, nak and others.
