    Default stat help....

ok, ridiculously small sample, but still. i am trying to adjust to life in the blind stealing game. i wonder if i'm not a bit "push happy" for this stage.

is this even an effective means of looking at where you tend to go out in tourneys with larger samples? i tend to bust in 5th a lot. if i make the money, i tend to win, but i think my ITM is extremely low. again, sample size, but i cant help but think we may be starting to see a trend.......lack of patience.

    nah. i'm a dabbler. lol.

i played SNGs when i got started, moved to cash, moved from NL to LHE, played O8/stud h/l, back and forth with rings because i couldnt dedicate an hour and a half uninterrupted (kids).

but, i started playing DONs 3 months ago, and started carving out the time to run sets again. now, those are all nitty, and i continue to hear that SNGs have the most fish still. so, i figured i'd give it a shot since it cant take up more time....its just a matter of the "blocks" of time required.

so, here i am...full circle of sorts. but, i'll disappear after too long.

oh, and i have been booted from Community and BC...j/k.

Too small a sample size to really draw any conclusions but from what I can see you are following the "tight early LAGG late" formula. Better to post hands/tourneys if you want advice or suggestions.

thank you! finally a response sort of willing to deal with the lack of sample/information at hand.

now, not taking this too seriously, of course, i would agree. or, thats the "feel" i get. but, dont we have to open up once those blinds get up there?

can you recommend a couple things? first, what is wrong with TAG early, LAG late? i am not saying it's right, but you are hinting its wrong and i want your opinion.

second, where and how do i start working on my ranges/equities? i could sit all day and play with PStove, but i dont think it would help if i was just throwing numbers in. how did you start, or what would you suggest? obv, i need to get some entry level ranges down because i feel i am too tight, by ring game nature, and when i DO open up, i overcompensate....which is what you may sort of see, given <100 STTs.

caveat: i still need a better grasp on "ranges," but the ROI has totally rebounded after my last two sessions...due to sample size. at the risk of overreacting, i would still like to hear some advice.

Nothing is wrong with it at all. It is classic single table SNG strategy.

As I said, I can't tell from your overall stats, so post a tourney or two and we'll take a look. Also, if you search on this forum, I am pretty sure I have posted sample hand ranges in various positions in other topics. Better to post one of your own tourneys though.
