Default AKo 3-handed, std raise and shove in front ($27)

Both of these players were fairly aggressive. Button's stats were something like 32/18 and SB 29/19.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $25+$2 Tournament, 200/400 Blinds 25 Ante (3 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t4420)
    SB (t3525)
    Hero (BB) (t5555)

    Hero's M: 8.23

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
Button bets t1200, SB raises to t3500 (All-In), Hero ????

I like pushing over. Both players ranges are going to be wide here, especially if they have aggressive tendencies. Depending on your image, I would imagine the button would have a pretty tight calling range if you push. I think that you isolate the small blind frequently thus giving you a big hand heads-up with dead money in the pot.

I think this requires a more mathematical approach that merely suggesting a call or fold. Briefly, you have about 41% equity pre-flop, and are about 40% to win if villain 1 pushes with 20% and villain 2 re-raises with 10% (and both call). In the morning, when I feel more gamey, I shall have a better stab at the calculation.

3x agreed-3 handed you have to believe your AK is best. You said they were both playing aggressive, very easily AJ or KQ here in which case they're overcoated.

I consider myself a donk but i insta call here, 3 handed AK will dominate.

Nakamura makes a good point but I think his ranges are a little too narrow. BTN has been extremely aggressive and taipan likely has a tight image. SB probably knows this and with an M of 5 he is shoving way wider than 10%, imo. He shows up with KJ-KQ, A2-AQ a huge percentage of the time.

I might think about folding AQ here though.

I think the main issue is button's folding range, if you think there is a decent chance he will fold raise as you are ahead of SB's range

i think in that situation u have to come over the top becaue there ranges are usually gonna have them involved in a pot with something like AJ or something like that. i really dont agree with the one post up there that says call because allthough your hand is probally good preflop it has a good cance to be outdrawn on so if u just call ur giving them the oppurtunity to just take the money you have put in

Ok, I haven't given up yet on this problem. I had some unsaved calculations in excel, but my computer bit the dust so bad when I tried to record a 14-table session with HEM open as well. So I guess I'll have to start from scratch again.

Baudib, my approach to the problem here assumes worst case scenario with regards to calling ranges. I am reasonably confident, if button folds a significant proportion of the time, this is +EV move.

Button is getting > 2:1 on his call (something like 3500 to win 8000). At this level, how many people are folding here?
