Default JJ w 20BB Facing PFR fro Unknown villain

Sorry for posting such a common, basic scenario, but i'm primarily a ring player.
This was on Full Tilt's new matrix format (ballin' btw), and my PT has trouble reading the format so i have no stats on the guy and no meaningful reads.

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 10+1 Tournament, 40/80 Blinds (8 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG (t2315)
    UTG+1 (t1940)
    MP1 (t2400)
    MP2 (t1930)
    CO (t1250)
    Button (t990)
    Hero (SB) (t1645)
    BB (t1030)

    Hero's M: 13.71

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, J
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls t80, 1 fold, MP2 bets t320, 2 folds, Hero raises to t1645 (All-In), 2 folds, MP2 calls t1325

i hate turning this hand into a bluff (i think i'm dominated by more hands than i dominate that call here) flatting him seemed too weak here (besides i'm probably still getting stacked if i make it to the flop anyway? or is that wrong?). a raise commits me to the pot anyway, so i figured if i'm gonna raise i might as well put him in a tough spot. give me your thoughts

Shove is fine. As he called, I'm guessing his range is TT+ & AQ+. If villain shoved I'd still say call, but a fold would be ok then. But I think shoving preflop here is fine.

I'm sure Tai will give you an ICM perspecitve.

Not sure about the payout structure of Matrix SNGs but in a normal SNG I would shove over pretty happily here without a specific read.

Also, the PFR is 4x BB not 20x BB (since the BB is 80 and the raise was 320)?

i put him on the same range (i've seen 99 call here once or twice and obviously there's the phantom Ax calls, but it's so unlikely it only slightly adds to the range) which is why i thought the play turned it into a bluff. shove is still the right play because the fold equity makes up for it? i guess that would mean that making a standard raise (a thousand or so) is a bad play as i suspected

I'd put his range at 77+, AJ+ with some chance of significantly worse hands being in his range. Yes, we have pretty good fold equity here against hands against which we're flipping but more importantly hands we dominate will very often call here too.

I would never ever raise less than AI in this spot.

I play these too, and the fact that it's still 8-handed gives me pause (because you need survival points to win these). Since you're playing 4 tables, I would think you have SOME sort of read on the guy, even this early. Anyway, the need for survival points would lead me to fold AQ and probably pairs under 88 but even with those concerns, shoving over with JJ is pretty standard. You can win these things by dominating two tables and busting out early in the other two.
Playing big pots at small stakes.
