Default very low stakes, SnGs 10+ at once Q&A

soooooooo ive been doing this for all of one day so far. i started with a bankroll of 10$ and have only really seriously held two sessions thus far. my bankroll is now at 23.11$.
on pokerstars ive been joining 10+ tourneys at the same time of .25 buy ins or 1.20$ buy ins anywhere from 18ppl to 90ppl. what got me into this was reading some article my buddy sent me on a guy named boku, who i guess turned 100$ into 10,000$ in 14 days playing these types of SnGs. It got me very interested to see if i could do the same thing (over a much longer period of time though)

one of my questions about doing this is troubled with hands like 99-JJ. for example you're midway through a tourney with one of those three hands and you're mid position. (the stakes are low so you know they players are calling stations)
    UTG limps
blinds are 50/100 and you're sitting on a 2k stack
would you limp here or raise?
i find myself raising to 3xBB+1 or 400chips in this case
then say the dealer makes the call, and UTG calls.
    now you've got a 1350chip pot and pocket 9s
flop hits one over card and 2 under cards or we'll say K 3 6 rainbow
now what? Cbet? check? fold? pray for a 9?
these have become very sticky situations for me and im starting to believe just limping with these hands is a better idea and using the set it or forget it technique, atleast for these stakes.

I've also found myself playing phenominal poker, because im not getting bored and making dumb limps with KQo because theres always action at one of the other tables to keep me interested and on point with my plays. im usually either raising or folding unless i get a small PP.
BUT one of my problems is say in a 27person tourney i play great and hit my sets and everything in one of them, but in the other 2 im missing everything (which is poker i know) but i still end up making it late in the tourney so ill get to the final table and end up busting as the bubble boy or right around there.
I want to know if anyone has any tips on if the cards arent there, and you're not really hitting sets and big hands. and techniques or strategys, i mean im trying to make the best of my shoves but sometimes they're just embarassing because im so low in chips and making a button shove to steal.
any tips would be nice or info on strategies people have on playing tournaments like this would be awesome. alright thx for readin pzzzz

In the batter's box. Already 0-1 count....
Matter not the level you need to play these the same way. Tight early on only to try and aquire chips in the middle stages. I would be limping with average stack with the 3 pairs you are talking about. If I spike my set, good. If the over comes, I can get away cheaply. If I get a chump heads up pre-flop, so be it. Tight early, get chips in the middle of these. That's how I roll anyways.

Careful what you wish for.....you just may get it!

if there's 1 or 2 limpers plus the blinds... why not just push with 99-JJ. you'll pick up the dead money (250-350+) or win a race and double up. then 2 levels later you do the same with AA.
guys he's just looking to complain about taking coolers/beats

he'll continue to be the type of poker player we all love, the one that isn't any good but thinks he is, and slowly donates to the regulars.

I think its preety hard to play a lot of tables and make plays when you dont have cards. I have also read the boku thread, remember he was already supernova with huge experience playing this way. His approach to such a large number of tables must have been formulaic almost robotic. Yep id like to make 410k also but i cant see me doing it the boku way.

On one other point. you said "the stakes are low so you know they players are calling stations) "

Not sure i agree with this. Low stakes have all types. imo.

I understand you desire for techniques when you dont have cards. Their is one its called bluffing, seems to work pretty well. Here is an e.g

MP1 raises 3bb hes probably got Ax you think or maybe a pair TT,JJ,99 or similar.
Button Hero with 57o call (I know 57 is weak but its a bluff, the intention is to out play the raiser after the flop)
    Flop J23
Hero bets half the pot, a continuation bet thinks the hero and raises the new pot.
Thats a bluff, if the early player has anything other than AJ,AA,KK,QQ,JJ he will most likely fold and you win.

Boku is an experienced player that is able to make mathematical decisions very quickly. If I were you, I would stick with under 10 at a time until you are knowledgeable with proper push/fold plays and when to call all ins.

With your example above, the thing to think about is that when you are ~15bbs or 10M, you should shove over limps with hands that are ahead of their range. This is especially true when IP and from the blinds. The problem that you will run into is that these players will call more often. Therefore, you will experience some crazy variance.

When you have 10bbs and there are no antes, you should be shoving any two from the SB when its folded to you unless the BB is a loose caller. This is also true from the button. However, as you get earlier in position, you need to be more selective in the hands that you push.

When antes come into play and you have 10bbs or less, you are a little more desperate. You can shove a wider range from HJ+

It will be almost always be correct to call with any two when faced with a 2-1 call and you are in the blinds.

Purchase SNGWIZ and run your tourneys with the 45 man payout structure. It will provide you with an idea of the hands that you should be shoving in certain situations.
