Default How do you play this.

Sorry I don't have the total hand history - different pc - but I'll give a good picture.

Titan poker - 6 player sng $1 buyin.
Down to 3 players, blinds are 100/200,

Hero is BB with about 1000
Vilan is small blind and is chip lead (4,500).
The 3rd player also has a lot of chips (>3000).

Vilan is also a calling station - I remember one hand pf they didn't call and they called just about every bet afterwards. So they really are ATC.

    Hero has t8
    sb calls pf

    flop 8,6,2 rainbow
    sb checks

    what do you do?

thanks - I just wanted to make sure I made the right call.

FI - I shoved, they called, had K-Rags and hit their K on the river

You got it in as a big favourite, you should be really happy about this!

    Shove.

Poker is emotional and so it is hard to see that K fall on the river when you get in as a big favorite. Really try to focus on the decision. In fact since I multi-table, typically once I push or call a push, I check to see what the villians cards are to see if they were in my range for him, and to see how likely I am to win the hand. Then I flip to another table before the rest of the board is dealt. This helps me emphasis the decision part, and helps me to avoid tilt/emotional change to bad beats which I have no control over.

This is a very easy shove here. You really don't have anyother option as your stack is short and you've just flopped a decent hand.

Advice is good above about poker having potential to be very emotional (frustrating & disheartening at times). Part of working on one's game is to try to remove emotional involvement from all decision-making & from results. Shoving here was the correct play.
Villain was a loose donk calling station - - it happens. You got your money in good... just leave it at that.

Thanks for all the replies - I'm happy that I made the right play - now I know it was the right play!
