Default QQ again, facing a shove

    Titan Poker, $10 + $1, blinds 100/200, hand converted at Talking-Poker

    Button karma77 (4700)
    SB GrandpasMoney (1400)
    BB mikry67 (2460)
    UTG DanAronG (4040)
    UTG+1 ichneum0n (2400)

Preflop: DanAronG is UTG with Q Q
DanAronG raises to 600, 1 fold, karma77 raises to 4700, 2 folds, DanAronG???

This may seem familiar. Once again I find myself facing a big decision with QQ. In the two previous examples, I called & lost.

I guess I want to see if I have learnt anything from all of this.

So once again, what would ou do.

No real reads. Sharkscope gives him 10% ROI over 135 games.

Try doing the ICM calculation that I link to in the SNG Tactics Guide, this is a perfect example of where you can use it. As for opp's range, I'd put them on TT+, AK.

in my opinion i think that there are 4 unfoldeables hands on preflop which are AA KK QQ and AK suit, if u get an all in with these cards..call it,u will never see a profesional folding this on preflop. Good luck

Um, this is very very very wrong (with the exception of AA which always has enough equity in a 9-person SNG to call). What if you're in the BB with 6000 chips, UTG has 6500 and shoves and the other two players fold?

yes, i kno that AA has +80% of winning, but gime a call if you see a pro fold KK/QQ/AK suit on preflop .
oh yes forgot to say when theres only a player besides you,as the guy that posted the general threat.
    Thanks for sharing opinions.

You've sat with this guy through 4 blind levels but you've got no reads?

What do you mean by a "pro"? Do you mean somebody who plays SNGs for a living? In this case there'll be LOTS of pros who will fold hands like AKs under the right (or should that be wrong) circumstances.

As an example, take a look at this thread where there is no circumstance where it is profitable to call with AK - http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...th-t56793.html

I hate making decisions like this without any sort of read. Without one, it's a fold and cry.

I may sound naive...but I dont think someone would risk 4700 chips (his tourney) without a KK or AA (most likely).
On the other hand, with these monsters I would reraise do get a call...not to throw my opponent out of the hand.

Tough call...its all about reads there (some bad players supersize the value of any middle pair...others would shove with A-Ks assuming that nobody has a pair).

Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

you are naive. I have seen shoves like this in $11 SNG's with hands MUCH worse than AA or KK

I'll run the ICM on this later. In any case, the reason to call or fold here is all about ICM because we're second stack up against the big stack, so even if we win this hand and more than double our stack size, we don't double our share of the prize pool.
