Default TT UTG facing re-raise (5 handed)

So, this is hand from last night and a visit to my local B&M.....

    £40+£5.50 ($67) Freezeout
Blinds 200/400 (going up in a few minutes)

    I have around 14000 M=23

6 handed (with one guy sitting out) and close to the final table (although it only pays to 5th)

I'm UTG holding TT and I open for 1200. It's folded to the BB who announces "re-raise" and tosses
in 2400. He's literally just moved to our table - it's his first hand. I notice that he's short.

    I call.

The flop comes J63 rainbow and he leads out for 1600. He has something like 2.2k left. I ponder it for
a moment and put him all-in.

    Thoughts?

If his stack is 7K total then you should definitely shove or fold preflop. The small re-raise is a little scary and I might not stack off with quite as many hands as I would if he's just shoved all-in but TT 5-handed seems too strong to fold for this few chips.

In the batter's box. Already 0-1 count....
He has QQ or KK and you are dominated. You should know this as it happened last night and it's not going to happen in the future. You should have 3bet pre-flop or mucked to his raise. Never let the new guy take your chips.
Careful what you wish for.....you just may get it!

I agree that you should have put him all in pf or fold because of his short stack.

Thanks mcat. This was pretty much my thinking afterwards but wanted to hear it from someone else.
